Working in a school, college or university? CKC Cares for Education supports schools, colleges, universities and the people around them, on the human side of AI and technology.

AI courses are everywhere. Judgement isn't.

Most of them teach you what responsible AI is supposed to look like. CKC Cares Group is built around the harder part: finding where risk is actually hiding, sharpening judgement, pressure-testing governance, and helping you act on what you learn, not just collect more of it.

What's the problem in front of you right now?

Pick the situation that sounds most like yours. Each one leads to a course built for that specific problem, not a general introduction to AI.

Learn, understand and apply, at your own pace.

New to AI

"I'm new to AI and overwhelmed."

CKC Cares helps you: get your bearings, in plain language, without needing to learn prompts, platforms or jargon first.

AI First Aid: Ally's Alphabet Soup

A human-first, jargon-free introduction for people who feel the world moved quickly and nobody sent them the instructions. Helps you recognise how AI already touches everyday life, safety, privacy and trust.

This one opens to our full course listing rather than straight to the course. Once you're there, look for "AI First Aid: Ally's Alphabet Soup" and click it to start the free course.

Regulation & exposure

"I need to understand when changing AI use creates new regulatory or governance exposure."

CKC Cares helps you: spot when an approved system, a new feature, a new use, Shadow AI, or a shift in responsibility deserves closer attention.

EU AI Act, Shadow AI & High-Risk Drift

Covers high-risk AI under the EU AI Act, but goes beyond legal information into practical judgement, human oversight and real scenarios.

Organisational risk

"I don't know where AI risk is actually sitting in my organisation."

CKC Cares helps you: investigate how AI is actually being used, not how it's assumed to be used.

AI Risk & Human Protection: Find Your AI Risk

An applied organisational risk course. You leave with a working Risk Map showing what you found, what remains unclear, and what deserves attention first.

SME governance

"We use AI, but we don't have a large legal, risk or AI governance team."

CKC Cares helps you: build a governance starter system sized for your organisation, not an enterprise's.

The SME Human-Centred AI Ethics & Governance Pack

Helps you vet tools, bring Shadow AI into view, create usable procedures, clarify responsibility, and support the people who are expected to follow the rules, without building an enterprise bureaucracy.

Policy in practice

"Our AI policy looks good on paper. I'm not sure it holds up in real work."

CKC Cares helps you: pressure-test the gap between what's written down and what actually happens under pressure.

Breathable PPTA: A Structural & Cultural Alignment Framework

Helps you pressure-test the gap between policy, procedure, training, awareness and what actually happens under time pressure, ambiguity and AI-assisted decision-making, so you come away with governance that's clearer and easier to defend.

Diagnosis

"We keep applying solutions, but the same digital or AI problem comes back."

CKC Cares helps you: work out what kind of problem you're actually dealing with, before you try to fix it.

The Seven Zones of Digital Reality

Builds diagnostic literacy before intervention, so leaders stop applying a technical fix to a cultural problem, a training fix to a structural problem, or a process fix to a deeper failure of judgement.

Digital wellbeing

"I've tried generic digital-wellbeing advice and I'm still overloaded."

CKC Cares helps you: identify your own pattern of digital overload, rather than following one-size-fits-all screen-time advice.

Digital Energy Intelligence™: The 4-Week Reset

Over four weeks, you build boundaries, rituals and practical changes around how you personally respond to technology and AI-driven pressure.

Human harm, beyond compliance

"Our technical and compliance checks look fine. What human harm might we still be missing?"

CKC Cares helps you: look beyond technical performance and formal compliance, to human signals that conventional assessments aren't designed to see.

The Shoelace Framework / Adversarial Human Risk Management

An advanced human-harm lens for professionals who need to surface signals such as dignity loss, capability erosion and cultural disruption.

Digital resilience, leadership

"I want to think clearly about AI, ethics and digital pressure together, not as three separate problems."

CKC Cares helps you: work through readings, real case studies and applied exercises across AI ethics, cyber resilience and digital leadership, at your own pace.

The Digital Polycrisis Workbook

A guided, self-paced micro-course covering AI ethics, cyber resilience strategies and digital leadership, with quizzes and case studies to consolidate what you learn. Includes a complimentary copy of the companion book.

Digital resilience

"I want to actually feel how digital change is affecting who I am, not just read about it."

CKC Cares helps you: work through a Zone Audit and a Digital Saboteur Discovery, two short reflective paths that hand you back a pattern, not a verdict.

The ZDI Experience

A free, browser-based reflection tool. Nothing is collected or stored, your result stays yours. If it resonates, there are deeper paid paths to go further, starting from £37.

Solo, group or team

"I want to actually feel the consequences of a bad decision, whether that's just me working it through or the whole team."

CKC Cares helps you: step inside a timed, narrative scenario instead of a slide deck, on your own or with others.

Digital Escape Rooms. Four missions (deepfakes, algorithms, an AI tribunal, digital trauma), with a built-in chatbot and a certificate at the end. Works as an individual challenge, a professional or onboarding exercise, a classroom activity, or a family session. General, Organisation and School editions.

Solo, group or team

"I want cybersecurity training that doesn't put people to sleep, whether that's just me or a room full of people."

CKC Cares helps you: learn the same way as the Escape Rooms, solo or with others, through a heist-themed scenario instead.

Cyber Heist. A timed puzzle-narrative experience for individuals or groups, currently being rebuilt.

Organisational diagnostic

"I want to see the harms our usual checks don't catch, not just tick compliance boxes."

CKC Cares helps you: work through seven invisible harms as interactive scenarios, not a checklist, and finish with a downloadable Learning Marker.

The Prime 7 Invisible Harms Studio

A free, scenario-based orientation to the seven harms technical audits usually miss. Matching, scenario and risk-identification activities, plus a shareable Learning Marker at the end.

Governance

"I want language for what's actually happening at the human layer of our AI governance, not another compliance checklist."

CKC Cares helps you: work through seven drift patterns and a short self-assessment, so you get a personal read on where things stand, not just the theory.

Drift Literacy Executive Platform

A free platform covering Drift Literacy and Prime 7 side by side, with an interactive Zone Presence Audit that reflects your dominant zone back to you. Built to sit alongside NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 23894, not replace them.

See how these actually work

Most training is boring, and boring training doesn't stick. These put you inside the actual situation, a scenario, a card pull, a decision you have to make, and you find out what happens because of what you picked. People remember what they did far longer than what they read.

Fit depends on which one you pick. Some are built for just you, working through it alone. Others work better with a team, in a classroom, or as something the whole family does together. Check who each one's aimed at before you dive in.

These work for professionals, staff teams and students alike, not one or the other. Digital Escape Rooms and Cyber Heist have editions built specifically for students, but any of these experiences can be used for staff development and professional learning too, and a teacher can bring any of them into a classroom, not just those two. They're genuinely fun, people play them like a game, but they're learning tools underneath, which makes them just as good for a staff party, a student event or a team competition as they are for training or a lesson. CKC Cares for Education can help schools, colleges and organisations bring these into a classroom, a training day or an event.

Some of these end with a certificate or a Learning Marker, a concrete record you can add to a CPD file, share with HR, or put on LinkedIn. Not proof you sat through something, proof you actually worked through it.

None of this replaces what you already know. It's another way into the same awareness, built from a situation instead of a page.

One more thing worth saying plainly: none of this is legal, medical or therapeutic advice. If what you need is the full picture on a topic, a course is still the better starting point.

What are you actually paying for?

There's already a lot of free AI information out there. What's different here is what you actually do with it, not how much of it you have.

The paid courses are built to help you apply judgement to your own organisation, role, behaviour, governance or decision-making. They work for individuals too, people making sense of how AI is changing things around them and working out their own view of it, rather than repeating what they've read somewhere else. Depending on the course, you might come away with a Risk Map, a policy or process that's actually been pressure-tested, a governance structure sized for a smaller organisation, a diagnostic method, a personal reset plan, or simply a sharper eye for where human harm shows up.

It builds on what you already have

If your organisation already works with NIST, ISO standards, internal risk frameworks, sector guidance, legal counsel or its own governance processes, that's a solid foundation.

CKC Cares tools and lenses are built to work alongside what you already have, not replace it. Use one as a starting point, fold it into a process you already run, or adapt it into whatever system already works for you. The aim is to add to what you know and build your awareness, not pile more pressure on top of what you're already doing.

Need a lower-cost route?

CKC Cares Group is two parts working together, CKC Cares Ventures Ltd and CKC Cares CIC. The CIC side is what makes this next bit possible: a limited supported-access pathway for individuals, charities and community organisations where the standard fee would be a genuine barrier. Tell us briefly who you are, how you'll use the learning, and what fee would be workable. Requests are reviewed individually and may be declined or counter-offered.

Ask about supported access

Standard prices aren't open to routine negotiation. This route exists for genuine barriers, and each request is reviewed on its own.

Need help applying this across a team or organisation?

CKC Cares Group also works directly with teams and organisations. That can mean group learning, facilitated sessions, implementation support, advisory work, or risk and governance follow-through. It sits alongside the self-paced courses for anyone who wants extra support putting the work into practice.
